Well, I've laid quietly for a LONG while. Long since "the Truth" went whimpering out of sight since my best bud, Sherlock Steve, was able to POST and prove that the FCC doesn't moderate or control every blogger out there. Believe me, that was one of the best FIRESTORM controversies I've seen in years. (and the marshmallows I've roasted over that "fire" were all yummy!).
Since then I've "slept" (which is to say that I've been busy in this life) and not commenting in blogs and looking at other people's blogs and noted that Ridor has been "Ridoring" out now and then on other people via his own blog. Ridor isn't worth my time to pick on since he's the lesser evil these days.
Then, in the last few days, I've been reading the posts and comments at http://rsgeo007.blogspot.com/2009/05/when-is-audism-not-audism-part-2.html, I looked it over and I noticed the biggest fire storm comments that came in.
Then Sherlock told me something that came from a friend that had heard it from RSGeo, and this was dealt with before. He said that you, Sweetmind, thought that Sherlock and RSGeo were the same people. They aren't.
Again, I want to set this record straight here for many people.
RSGeo's blog at http://RSGeo007.blogspot.com/ belongs to Robert Goodwin. The Deaf Sherlock's blog at http://TheDeafSherlock.blogspot.com/ belongs to Steve Baier.
Steve doesn't run or control Robert's blog site. Nor does Robert run Steve's blog site. But for SweetMind to think that Sherlock runs BOTH blog sites? Then she's definitely gotten to be a SourMind lately.
Second: SweetMind, before you go gallivanting off on another WILD tangent about these two fellows being the same person, I would advise that you leave the internet for a few weeks and go camping or a vacation! With every blog that happens to deal with all your comments out there, and blog owners are doing their best to quell the firestorms on their blogs, you definitely need some time away from the computer system.
If you don't, SweetMind, then every blog owner will exercise their very right to MODERATE their site and ELIMINATE you comments that you post to them. Which means they'll waste little time in rejecting your post as much as you have wasted MORE OF your time posting your comments. When it happens, YOU will be the one LEFT OUT IN THE COLD as the sore thumb.
SweetMind, do a Google search of your own name, using "sweetmind" and "deaf sweetmind" as well as "deafsweetmind." You will see MANY hits that back me up including one of a petition to remove you from DeafChat.
Third: SweetMind owes a PERSONAL APOLOGY to Sherlock Steve and RSGeo.
If SweetMind doesn't, Then blog owners can BLOCK or eliminate SweetMind's comments as they see fit.
SweetMind, you can rant and rave all about what people say about you, but in the very end, the damage is all YOURS alone.

The FCC Responds
G'day Everyone!? This is a special post from Sherlock Steve, courtesy of Macgyver.
First of all, I would like to thank Macgyver Bond for posting about my situation with "The Truth".
Second: I would like to say THANK YOU to several supporters who have been there for me. You comments have been right on the topic of this argument.
Now with that out of the way, I have business to address to two users who have left comments on this site here:
To Professor RG: Sir, I am sorry that it has come to this. You were given a genuine opportunity to address all of us with your wisdom and knowledge. Furthermore, I am henceforth asking you to recuse yourself from this topic. You really don't know what's going on of this situation which has been brewing for some time. So if you still think that all of us bloggers are a bunch of angry people, then may God have mercy on your misguided hearing friends. You are no longer considered to be an influence for us. You were given chances, and you kept hiding behind the mantle of an institution of higher learning. Steve was right when he said what he said in the comments earlier. Thank you.
That being said, I finally turn my full attention to "The Truth" AKA: Truth567.
To "The Truth": You were given countless opportunities to come and talk to me. You had every chance to sit down and solve a situation between us. You have tried intimidation. You have made a battery of FEAR on me when you said several times that you'd ask the FCC to force me off the blogsphere. It was in that fear once that I have imploded my previous site.
This time, you have tried that same tactic. This time you have FAILED. You as well as RG have lost credibility in the eyes of various people including me.

City, county and state consumer protection offices provide consumers with important services. They mediate complaints, conduct investigations, prosecute offenders of consumer laws, license and regulate a variety of professionals, promote strong consumer protection legislation, provide educational materials and advocacy in the consumer interest.

Now do you believe in something coming out of the FCC? I did my "homework" my research, contacting them myself. This is the very result that I get. It's not too hard for you to do yours and find out who exactly handles domain name registration.
I, Sherlock, do NOT enjoy posting this. It's for all to see and read. As others have said that it makes you look like a fool.
I do not enjoy being threatened by you. I do not enjoy being thrashed by you. I have pleaded, screamed, begged, and have made a fool of myself to get you to stop pestering me on my previous site. To date: you have finally behaved because you knew of what was coming. Today is that day of proof of reckoning. Both Macgyver and Steve take no joy in it, and;
It is within my rights to have you banned from commenting on my blog site for an undetermined period of time. I am also not going to ever mention you again in any post and comment. I'm doing this because the issue is old and is now a foregone conclusion. It is the end!
What's more: I don't care who is calling themselves "The Truth" (save whatever it is you or a bunch of users that use that particular SN) that have ganged up on me in the previous past over my comments about the Gallaudet Protest (whatever that be during or the aftermath of it). To blame me that my comments hurt that institution would be an understatement when there are countless others who have written nearly the same topics about the Gallaudet protests.
One more: It is not often do I blame others for my problems of my blog site. You forced me once to take action on my previous site which has lead to its implosion. But now, no more.

Why is TheTruth hounding Sherlock again?
Well, in the last few months, I've been on a short leave from the blog world. Hanging out with Sherlock has been cool. He's a great pal!
Unfortunately, I've had the misfortune to talk to him on the 'net. Lo and behold, he gave me two screenshots of "The Truth" hitting up on him again, trying to mesh the name "THE TRUTH" on to his blog. This time, The Truth was going to file an FCC complaint saying that Sherlock is narrow and closed minded and isn't a Freedom of expression loving person because Sherlock has refused to let someone named "Raphael St. Johns" from leaving a comment on his site.
Well, I want "The Truth" to know something. As a friend of Sherlock, I called in a favor to my lawyer and guess what? "The TRUTH" has no legal standing in making a complaint to the FCC! In fact, I submitted a letter of testimony against "The Truth" and have proved the levels of "The Truth"'s past harassments when Sherlock was on his Xanga account.
It was I that rescued Sherlock and took matters into my own hands and "imploded" his Xanga account to end the threats that were being said by "The Truth". And yes, James Byrne has stood by thick and thin and is a loyal Sherlock fan. James has even attacked "The Truth" as well as times.
So I want "The Truth" to be aware of this: You want to go to court, "The Truth"? Do you want to get embarrassed? Do you want to end up losing thousands of dollars in lawyer fees that you'll never recover, even if the judgment is in your favor? The truth is, "The Truth," nobody wins. You just create a mess of a blog war over an opinion that belongs to someone else.
The only person that wins in all this are the lawyers. They'll be the happy ones. We don't need this. "The Truth", Sherlock doesn't need a headache like you. Get a life. He's doing what he's supposed to do which is writing a blog and writing an opinion. That his life in the deaf world. He's doing what he has to do as a moderator of his own: approval and rejecting posts. That's his job to protect his site. Personally, I've moderated some Yahoo groups. It's the same idea.
Sherlock may have a lot of enemies, and yes, there have been threats on his life in the past. He had a threat right before you comment came up. He's had to take action to protect himself. If he hadn't done it and nobody knows where it come from, he'd prolly be dead already.
Know what? Blogspot offered more security for him than Xanga. Xanga was so openly allowing comments that the damage was done to Sherlock faster than he could stop them. That's where YOU, "THE TRUTH", EMBARRASSED HIM! So, now he's doing what he's suppose to do. Rejecting comments. That's the moderator's job.
So back off, "The Truth". You terrorized him. That's what you did. I'm standing with Sherlock. So will others.
Furthermore, I demand that you show your own blog and show us that you are real. Because in the past, "The Truth" was scores of people that attacked Sherlock. Show me *YOU* are the REAL "THE TRUTH" that you claim to be! Because if you don't, the lies are like false truths that fade away in the wind as usual. Your respectability is rapidly going downhill.

Will the real 'THE TRUTH' please stand up?
It was distressing news to me when I heard the very news that TDS (The Deaf Sherlock) was attacked on his very site by person named "The Truth". But it wasn't just a person. It was a group of people who used throw away Xanga.com accounts and engaged a systematic attack on TDS.
It shouldn't be called harassment, but it was more of a group of people who called themselves "The Truth" after a certain Xanga user. The copycats were more than happy to engage in a terrorism soap opera that kept on attacking TDS's site until his suicide. Why do I say they used terrorism? Because they did hide some well meaning threats at Sherlock in the way they wrote. They even kept up the attack after the real person who uses "THE TRUTH" as her signature. But some of us believe of what she wrote was clear that she permitted her friends to use her signature. That's where she has to do her own homework of who did what to TDS. "The Truth" also had a web page on Xanga. It was taken down the same day as Sherlock's site was imploded.
WatsonSB, Sherlock's brother, immediately grabbed his brother's website and imploded it to prevent further attacks. Though the evidence is gone, but we know who they were and have turned the SNs over to the proper investigators.
I am more angry than I ever want to be. TDS was a respected friend, even when I messed with him the first time, he earned my respect. He even helped me to insure I backed away from the controversal person called Ridor at Ridorlive.com.
Now, I want to write to those copycat people who did engaged in attacking and terrorized TDS. Your days before the Lord God are numbered. They should NOT think that the police and courts will punish them physically on this earth. But Sherlock had it right. He knows the very individuals, who will stand before God, just as Sherlock has already done so, will be judged by Jesus Christ. If these sick and insane people think they can celebrate for making people see things THEIR way, then their terrorism ought to be condemned.
What if they tried to attack Ridor's site? "The Truth" group wouldn't get very far. For by the time Ridor reads their posts, he will just prevent them from heading into the public comments area and toss them right into trash where they belong.
Now it's sad that Xanga does not have a moderator's feature where the owners get to see the post before the public sees them. On Xanga, it's the work to delete the post OFF the public commetnts area. But a lawsuit is waiting to happen if Xanga doesn't give the web page owners more strict moderation ability immedately.
My hope is that "The Truth" group not be attacking another site again. Everyone is on the alert for them. Forcing Sherlock into something that he did not want to do is bad. But driving him to suicide? They caused it. That makes them guilty by association of murder.
My hope is that "The Truth" group learns two things: Respect the freedom of speech. Respect the rights of the owner of the website.
Accomplishing something like what they had done is calling in for legal trouble. Sherlock wanted to avoid legal entanglements with The Truth.. but that turned when the copycats were the very ones attacking on behalf of real "The Truth". Some day, justice shall be done for Sherlock.

Scamming the Scammers
By any chance, has anyone had some of those scammers try to order stuff from you in email? I've strung them along as long as I could, ridiculously overpricing stuff into the stratosphere including shipping. For example, say they wanted to order 10 mustache shavers and 10 500 gig hard drives. The shavers would normally cost, say, $20, and the drives $300. Price the shavers $50-75 and the hard drives $1000, and then add an additional for shipping. Do the math. Calculate $750 for the shavers, $10,000 for the drives, for a total of $10,750. Quote them $15,000. If not hard drives and shavers, hearing aids and other stuff like that?
After a few back and forth messages with you, you mention at the bottom of your last two messages that you don't take credit cards, just cash or checks. Watch them either disappear or jump at it, sending you an actual check if they do. Then if the check arrives, send them a boxload of scrap, and then insure it for a ridiculous amount. Customs will charge them a pretty penny also. You're out very little. They're out quite a bit. If you do deposit that check, have it checked out, and if by some oddball chance that it is real, send them their stuff. Hey, you profited big time. Here's sites to visit.
